A new Frasca simulator for Alitalia.

Alitalia has decided to add a new simulator to its own Center Training of Fiumicino.
Such training device, of last generation, will replace, after many years of honorable service, the present GAT (Generic Aircraft Trainer) for the training on the flight and navigation procedures.

After an attentive selection, the model 242J/ FNPT (Flight Navigation Procedures Trainer) produced by FRASCA International, has been choosen. It simulates a twin jet aircraft and is supplied with the new visual FVS-200TX (Textured) that allows to reproduce various environmental situations, with different light and atmospheric conditions.

The 242J of Alitalia will be operative at the beginning of 1999 and it will be the first equipment, installed in Europe, to be built like FNPT II MCC (Multi Crew Coordination) according to the JAR-STD 3A rules.

FRASCA International, represented exclusively in Italy by G& G AVIATION of Rome, produce, in the facility of Urbana, Illinois (U.S.A.), a wide range of simulators and trainers for airplanes and helicopters and has sold about 1500 units in more than 70 countries.

FRASCA, that celebrates its 40° year of activity in the 1998, includes among its customers the big airlines, air forces, flight schools and aeroclubs.
